Derek Clouser is a lifelong student of the game with nearly two decades of experience developing elite goalkeepers in the Berks County area. A Wyomissing native, Derek’s journey began at the U8 level, quickly finding his calling between the posts. His dedication to the position led him to the NCAA Division 1 level, where he competed for Mount St. Mary’s University in the Northeast Conference. During his collegiate tenure, Derek gained invaluable international experience training and competing in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway.
Following his college career, Derek played at the professional level in the U.S. Virgin Islands Premier League for LRVI FC. This blend of high-level collegiate and international professional play forms the foundation of the technical standards taught at Elevate Goalkeeper Academy.
With a coaching career spanning since 2007, Derek has worked with every major club in the region, including F.C. Revolution, Reading Rage, PA Classics and many of the local school districts. He founded Elevate Goalkeeper Academy to provide the specialized, high-intensity training that goalkeepers often lack in a team-only environment. Derek is a firm believer that soccer is a vehicle for building lifelong relationships and character, and he brings that passion to every session.
